任何所见到的真实都存有偏见，特别是二手的报道，仅以以下为例。

周四，米兰华人示威，并与当地警察发生冲突。于是惊叹在外华人终于有雄起的一天，
但在读过中英意各媒体报道之后，发现这又是一次不折不扣的"罗生门"。
以下引用各媒体对此次事件起因和冲突人数的报道，蓝色字体为引文部分。

如此纷繁的报道，究竟应该相信哪一个？对于追求真理的我们，这无疑是一个巨大的难题。
长篇的自然很难相信，如同例3那样添油加醋的；但简短的也不尽然都对，因为删减掉的可能是很重要的信息，比如例4刻意隐瞒了妇女违章停车的行为；即使是著名报社的报道也不能尽信，比如例6路透社的报道，连核心人物的性别都令人起疑。那么我们该相信什么呢？
至于人数，可以看到从"一百多"的到"近千"的都有，而官方报道则只提到了确凿的受伤人数，没有任何不确切的数字。这提醒我们，在阅读新闻报道时，数字前后的"左右"、"近"等等估计字眼比数字本身更重要。
